Shu Pu-erh

Shu Pu-erh — also known as Ripe Pu-erh — shows what time and microbial care can do to a leaf. Born in Yunnan from old tea trees, the leaves are hand-picked, pan-fixed, and sun-dried like sheng, but then gently heaped and moistened under controlled conditions. This post-fermentation warms the tea, darkening its colour and softening its edge into a round, earthy sweetness. Once the process is complete, the tea is pressed or left loose to settle further. In the cup, Shu Pu-erh gives a smooth, grounding infusion — a patient craft steeped in decades of expertise.
